Pastor Brian Akker
Senior Pastor
Pastor Brian joined Christ’s Family Church as Senior Pastor
in March of 2002 after serving seven years at a church in Northwest
Iowa. Pastor Brian received a M.DIV. degree from Western Theological
Seminary, Holland, MI. He graduated in 1979 from Hope College in
Holland Michigan and spent nine years teaching. He also worked for
four years in the construction field before entering the ministry.
He is married to Mary and they have two boys Kyle and Tyler.

Pastor Tim Truesdell
Associate Pastor
Pastor Tim
joined Christ’s Family Church in July of 2007.
Following seven years of post-secondary education,
Pastor Tim received a B.A. in Sociology from
Northwestern College (IA) in 2004, a M.Div. from Western
Theological Seminary (MI) in 2007, and was ordained by
the Reformed Church in America to serve as Minister of
Word & Sacrament. Along his journey in life, God has
blessed Pastor Tim with his lovely wife Molly, who is a
constant source of love and encouragement in times of
blessing and strife. Together, God has richly blessed
their marriage with two children, Micah and Anna, who
are deeply loved and are constant reminders that “the
Kingdom of God belongs to such as these” (Mark 10:14).

Torri Vande Zande
Director of Youth Ministries
Torri came on staff November of 2003. She is a 1994
graduate of North Central University with a B.A. in
youth ministry and is currantly working towards her
Master of Divinity through Bethel Seminary. She has
experience working with youth over the past 15 years and
believes (and practices) relational ministry. Her
responsibilities at Christ's Family is to direct the
junior high and senior high programming and to train
volunteer youth workers to use their gifts to impact the
lives of young people. |

Terri Fox
Administrative Assistant
Terri joined the staff of Christ's Family in January, 1999.
She is responsible for handling all of our finances and secretarial
work. Terri is married to Denny and they have three children: Amanda,
Justin, and Ashley. |
John
Pfautz
Director of Music
John started
attending Christ’s Family Church in 1993. He soon became the organist
and assistant choir director, with his wife Lorelei, playing the
piano. In September of 2005 he took on the duties of Choir Director/Organist.
John comes to the position having worked in church music for over
30 years and having lectured at the college level in various topics
of church music. His full-time job is at Augustana College where
he is the Voice Area Head and Director of Opera @ Augustana.

Lorelei Pfautz
Pianist
Lorelei serves as the pianist for the worship services
and the choir. While she loves music as an avocation,
she is by profession a social worker and serves as the
Executive Director of a Quad City Social Service agency
called Friendly House. She has Bachelors and Masters
degrees in Social Work. She and her husband John have
been part of the Quad Cities for 20 years, and have
three grown children, two of whom are married and one
grandchild.

Becky Schuetz
Director of Education
Becky Schuetz and family have been
members of Christ’s Family Church since 1997. She has
served as a teacher and discussion leader in the
children’s and adult ministries, as well as coordinator
for the children’s ministry. Becky was added to the
staff in the fall of 2007 to fill the newly created
position of Director of Education. Her duties include
developing, organizing and providing education programs
for children and adults that help them become growing
disciples of Jesus Christ, as well as recruiting and
training the teachers and leaders that God uses to
instruct and draw His people closer to Him. She also
serves as a resource for study materials for small
groups.
Becky
is married to Tom and they have 4 children: Kyle,
Lindsey, Alison and Grace.

Pam Van Zuiden
Administrative Clerk
Pam has been involved at CFC for several
years and has joined the staff as an
administrative clerk after retiring from ATT in Feb 2008. She has 3 grown
sons and 6 grandchildren. Pam just
completed a cross country bicycle trip as a
retirement gift to herself and is ready to
dive into the various activities at the
church.
