Coming
This Summer...Just for Kids...
Our summer worship will feature an exciting, new special time
just for kids ages 3 years old through 5th grade, called Kids'
Own Worship. The children will begin worship with their parents
in the sanctuary, but after the children's message will go downstairs
for their own Bible lessons.
Summer
doesn't have to be a desert with only a VBS oasis! Encourage your
kids to join us for worship on their own level. The fun will start
on Sunday, June 3...come join us as we celebrate God's goodness,
mighty works and unconditional love!
Summer
Women’s Bible Study
Join us Tuesday evenings starting June 5th as Beth Moore teaches
us about Daniel and how to boldly live in our modern-day Babylon
without falling prey to its allure.
This
12 week study teaches us that just as the prophet Daniel faced
unbelievable pressure to compromise his faith in a hostile culture
and was constantly confronted by temptations and threats, today’s
believers face similar trials. The first 6 lessons deal with Daniel’s
life as he faced the kind of pressures and temptations Christians
encounter today. Daniel models how to develop enduring integrity
in an enticing world. The last 6 lessons explore thrilling prophecies
from the time of Daniel through the second coming of Christ.
A
sign up sheet will be at the information table. Study books will
be ordered at the end of April and will cost $18. Invite a friend
and join us as we study Daniel and his prophecies.
Nursery
Volunteers
Anyone
over 5th grade would certainly qualify to spend an hour on a Sunday
playing with our little ones. There is always one adult and one
youth in there, and the average number of children is around 5.
To qualify, you just have to be willing to have tea parties, hold
little children, and rock a baby. Call the church office (359-3765)
or e-mail Terri
if you are interested. Hurry. . . There are kids that need a hug,
and there are hugs waiting for you!
Women’s
Ministry Alive with Christ RCA Women’s Conference
July 19-22, 2007 Ladies — it’s time to register for this conference!
Forms are available on the Information Table. If you have questions,
call the church office @ 359-3765.

for boys and young men, sizes 1-12. Buckner International has

since 1879. In 1999 we established Shoes for Orphan Souls” - our
annual shoe drive. Since that time we have collected more than
1.5 million pairs of shoes which have been distributed to children
in 55 countries around the world. You can get additional information
from the brochure at the information table.
Nursery
Coordinator After
serving our little children faithfully, Julie Bloomfield has resigned
from being our nursery coordinator. A big thanks to Julie for
her time of service to this ministry. That leaves an opportunity
for someone to serve our little ones. This position involves making
up the nursery schedule, coordinating volunteers, and making sure
the necessary supplies are there. If you are interested in serving
in this ministry, feel God nudging you to make a difference or
would like more information, please call 359-3765.

Volunteer
Opportunities
Habitat for Humanity ReStore is seeking new

for new and “gently used” building materials and supplies.

businesses, the Restore has diverted more than 740 tons of
usable home improvement products from area landfills. All
money raised though the sale of these products funds the housing
ministry of Habitat for Humanity. To volunteer contact Emma,
at 391-4949 or emma@restoreqc.org.
