Station Number 8.jpgIn Jesus' day shepherds were not respected and were looked down upon as laborers who couldn't do anything else. They were probably the LAST ones people would have expected to be the FIRST ones to hear the good news that God's long awaited Savior had come!

SIT around the firepit and LISTEN to the FiRST recording about the shepherds' BIG surprise:

Station Number 9.jpg

The 'Magi' or 'Wise Men' were foreigners who watched the stars for signs that something special was happening.  They followed a special star that led them to the One they believed was born "the king of the Jews."

WATCH this video FIRST:

Station 9 - FIRST Video

Then follow the stars into the Sanctuary and kneel before the newborn King of kings.  Take a picture with your family or group.

Ponder this: Have you accepted the most important Christmas gift ever given? Have you made Jesus your Lord and Savior?

PRAYER: Lord, I know I have sin in my heart that separates me from You. Please forgive me. Please open my heart to receive You and Your amazing gift of love. You are my Lord and my Savior…help me to live for You and with You forever. Please help me to recognize the opportunities you provide to tell others the Good News about Christ’s birth and what it means…and please give me the courage to share the hope we have in You. Amen.

Collect your puzzle piece and follow the arrows back to the Bethlehem Marketplace where you can build a simple mini manger out of wood and enjoy hot chocolate, a snack, and other activities!

If you have questions about accepting Jesus’ gift of love and salvation we would love to talk with you! Stop by the Prayer Room next to the Marketplace to learn more…
